More than usual, I can hardly move this morning. Made gallons of bolognese sauce yesterday ready for a pasta party for son #2 who will be 60 (60! How did that happen!) When I look back at the things I used to pack into a day I am so reminded that I've got old! It's all in the freezer now, I wanted to get it done just in case there's a miracle from the NHS and I get called for the hip surgery (I know, hope springs eternal.) If I hear one more politician say the waiting lists are down I just might be tempted to throw something at the TV while they are saying it.

(For those not in the UK, this is a remarkably short wait for a first appointment for trans-related healthcare: demand vastly exceeds supply.)

It’ll be another year or so before my next appointment and any chance of official “treatment”: I’ll have been self-medicating for four years come January. 🙄

I'm on a #waitinglist for an #NHS #dentist & have been offered a #checkup at #NHSdental #price. But the dentist's bio is focused on fancy #treatments rather than basics. This makes me nervous.
Add that to #Covid concerns & I've got a conundrum.
Having needed a #rootcanal #treatment decades ago I know how agonising #toothache can be.
I don't trust all these new plans & can't afford upfront #privatedental fees.
