Still trying to get my head around Shane Jones saying "I don't believe anything our government is doing is delegitimizing a personal choice many people make to be Māori."
So being Māori is a choice? And if you suffer negative consequences as a result of that "choice"... whose fault is that?
It almost seems from this and other things Shane Jones has said, that his view of being Māori is like that widespread secular attitude toward being a Christian: ok as long as you keep it private.
