  1. What a wonderful article about Diane Duane! Forget T'Plana-Hath, Diane is the true matron of Vulcan and Romulan philosophy!

  6. Question. I read a Star Trek fanfic once where it was said Vulcans got intoxicated on chocolate. This sounded vaguely familiar. Is it canon, or did someone make it up and it became a part of collective fanon? #StarTrek #Fanfiction #Vulcans #Chocolate

  7. Here's our new Star Trek podcast about the Strange New Worlds episode "Four and a Half Vulcans."

We enjoyed the episode, but there is a lot to talk about the ethics behind the story, as exhibited by the new Vulcans.

  9. I’m in love with the Vulcan S!

It has been an absolute blast riding this beast around.

  10. Finally #Vulcans acting like Vulcans! Brilliant little exchange in #SNW s02e02 #AdAstraPerAspera and Spock’s ‘outburst’. That’s what we want to see of them :)

  11. I’m enjoying a lot of what has been done in #StrangeNewWorlds but I can’t get over the poor portrayal of #vulcans. In the case of #SNW s01e05 #SpockAmok, two of them. Both are way too human. Specifically, American human. They lack the mystery and gravitas of the original, being too emotional in manner. Intimacy was handled poorly.

We watched a clip of #StarTrek #IntoDarkness and that was a lot better. #ZacharyQuinto nailed it.

  16. It's my that the majority of in the 22nd century were mindmelding syranites, they were just hiding it from eachother, how else did their society change so drastically in under a century. Especially given they live for about 200 years

  21. The new clip of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds where everyone turns into a Vulcan after taking a serum, shows how the standards of writing has fallen. Suddenly everyone's logical. But #Vulcans acquire logic after years of training, they're normally very emotional. So why did they become suddenly emotionless & logical, if the serum turns them biologically onto an (emotional, and untrained) Vulcan? Makes no sense at all.

NuTrek (after 2008) sucks. All of it.

  22. the thing that always made sense to me in #StarTrek was that #vulcans hid their emotions not because they didn't have any, but because they were prone to feeling them so intensely

  23. #StarTrek #SciFi language flaw:

Why is it that #Klingons are from #Klingon, and #Vulcans are from #Vulcan, but people from Earth are called "Humans"? 🤨
