In the past, during the school holidays, I went the very north of Jutland/Denmark with my parents every summer. In 1979, I took this photo with a "Revue" pocket camera on very small 110-format "Agfacolor 100" negative film.
Back home, my art teacher at school made me a suitable holder for the developer can and helped me get the film out of its tricky cartridge. After film development worked, I made a small print inour school's own darkroom lab.
Here's the scan of this, admittedly not very high-resolution, print from back then. #OtherTimes 🤩

@joel It takes a lot of dedication, time and money to keep such projects running. I know this because I run a single instance myself (with Friendica), which I might open to a few friends later. Who knows.
That's why I like to pay tribute to other people's commitment when I use their apps, etc. frequently. For example for #FairEmail, #VueScanPro or #JtxBoard.

Als Farbfilm gefällt mir der Kodak Ultramax 400 ja irgendwie gar nicht, aber absichtlich "falsch" in S/W-Chemie entwickelt, könnte ich mich fast in diesen Film verlieben: Brutales Korn bei überraschend gut erhaltener Detailschärfe und - wie bei diesem Foto gemacht - ein ganz klein wenig überbelichtet kommen nahezu alle Töne gut raus. Das muss ich diesen Sommer unbedingt wiederholen! 🤩😍😁

As a color film, I somehow don't like the Kodak Ultramax 400 at all, but developed in b&w chemistry, I could almost fall in love with this film: Film grain almost seems like brutalism 😎, but with surprisingly well-preserved details and (as I did it here) a little overexposed, almost all tonal values come out well. I definitely have to repeat that this summer!
