  1. Forecast has been shifting since I started planning. At first it was rain Sunday afternoon into early Monday. Now it starts late Sunday and rains all day Monday with scattered thunderstorms. Hopefully I can escape mountains without thunderstorms.
Normally storms travel from W/NW to E/SE, but on this trip they seem to be following me in the opposite direction. 🤔

  15. Start the day at 3am while storms roll through? Sure, why not. Mostly just flashes of distant lightning and the occasional rumble of thunder, which in turn sets off everyone's motion sensing lights.

  21. We're nearing a complete #freeze over of #LakeChamplain - a rare occurrence in recent years. #WCAX recently reported that the lake regularly froze solid in winters into the 1940s. Since the 1970s, freezes have occurred in half or less than half of winters. This would be the first freeze of the 2020s.
