For a moment, panic rises inside, like the flames that surround her. She can feel the migration of atoms in her body, changing her, but not causing harm. One cannot deny the sigil has worked. No esoteric cult did this, but merely an open heart filled with love.
The flames ebb away, and the dragon smiles.

Trees swayed in the wind that carried a whiff of #frost. From the now nearly bare aspen, a #squirrel watched leaves floating down the rear access road, which was still #inundated by the last rainfall. For a moment, the old wound began to #smart. Symptoms of #recovery. Downstairs by the roadside, crows attempted to pick something out of the water, that looked like a dead rat, but they could not lift it.
