I want to give a shout-out to the people who rightfully call out and shame r0aR and their friends for their scummy behavior. The fact that r0aR thinks they're in the right so much that they should show themself getting rightfully shamed is wild to me. Unfortunately, only a few comments exist calling this out. And r0aR's excuse? "The block button exist man," actual fucking victim-blaming loser behavior there.

Most people think someone posting a video sexually harassing several (very likely) queer people is good/acceptable content. The furries, especially in the start were just minding their own business. They weren't doing anything or acting out of line; most of them were just sitting there. Victim-blaming is also in the comment such as, "People forget the block button exists," as if that's a valid reason for someone to be sexually harassed. Get the fuck out of here with that. Sadly, it looks like either nobody reported r0aR and their friends for sexual harassment, or #VRChat did nothing about it. And sending the evidence would be easy: they filmed and uploaded themselves doing it!

Also, interesting note: I noticed r0aR uses a furry avatar, and I'm not sure if it's because they're using it to infiltrate furry spaces or because they are actually a furry. If they are a furry, that still in no way excuses the content on their channel. In fact, you'd think they'd know how sh!tty it is to be targeted for being a furry.

Note: I'm watching the kissing video while writing this because it's just that uncomfortable to go through, and this motherfucker just heard that someone had a seizure and fell down the stairs, spraining their knee, and this creepy-ass motherfucker legit goes, "I think I'm just gonna make this person uncomfortable," and kisses their avatar in the face. What the actual FUCK? Holy fucking sh!t. How the hell has this video not been taken down???

Yeah, no, I feel ZERO shame in saying fuck this guy and I hope their channel gets taken down for the harassment they so blithely post on said channel. I knew I had something when I stumbled across this channel, but I didn't know it was THAT bad. People like this feel so emboldened to do this sh!t because it's virtual. If they tried this sh!t in real life, they'd rightfully get the sh!t kicked out of them. "Trolling" channels like these are so fucking scummy, and I didn't even go over the insane ableism, either.

Okay, the 5 people who've voted spoken: we're going over a sh!tty #VRChat channel.

VRChat for the longest time has had a dedicated trolling subcommunity where #YouTubers would annoy random people for content, and hey, some deserve it, especially bigots. But... a lot of the people these Youtubers target belong to minority groups, especially neurodivergent/mentally-ill people and furries, oh, they LOVE to target furries, #plural people, too, especially DID systems. Now, I don't know how many of you know this... but approximately 80% of furries aren't straight, and this isn't even considering straight furries that are trans/non-binary, so I imagine it's closer to 90% of furries being queer (sources: https://furscience.com/research-findings/sex-relationships-pornography/5-1-orientation/

Hmm, but uh, it'd look real bad if you replaced the word "furry" with "queer" with the titles you see for these videos. Yeah, that's a lot less socially-acceptable of a minority to dunk on, so they target furries instead. Let me be clear, though, the furry community is not immune from scrutiny and does have many valid criticisms against it (I'm not a furry myself because of several of said criticisms), but that doesn't justify how much these "trolling" channels target furries specifically.

With that out of the way, let's talk about the #Youtube channel, r0aR. r0aR is one of these channels, relatively new with their first video being uploaded 11 months ago. Out of their 33 videos, 13 of those videos have "furry" in the title, and 23 of them feature furries in the thumbnail. We have absolute gems like, "VRChat D.I.D Faker FREAKS OUT Over Virtual Water," or, "VRChat players are SICK in the head," or, my absolute favorite (sarcasm), "VRChat Furries Go INSANE Over Virtual Kisses." That last one is just them admitting to sexually-harassing someone, not even joking there. You should see the thumbnail of that last one, too, really not helping with not looking like a sexual harasser, buddy.

Like, besides the literal sexual harassment, the ableism in these titles and thumbnails alone is astounding. Fake-claiming DID systems, giving people panic attacks (probably via using their triggers), calling people, "Sick in the head," etc. Yes, you do see this with other channels, but I have never seen it so blatant.

Just so I can have a better understanding, I watched the kissing video, and r0aR gives a disclaimer that this is supposed to be "lighthearted and comedic," but I don't know how sexually harassing someone fits that description. r0aR and friends of theirs are seen doing it. And yeah, it's very clear from the very start that the victim did NOT consent to it, even other people in the video rightfully call it sexual harassment. Also, there's more than one victim they do this to. The fact that they thought it was okay to do this, film, and upload it is WILD.
