Irritates the piss out of me when you start talking timelines for needed change being based on how long our planet will remain habitable...
And the reply back is "You're just engaging in doomerism!"
Um, yeah. Because we are facing certain doom for our species unless we do radical changes.
#VoteBlue and #VoteHarder aren't solutions to global climate change making a fair portion of the planet unsuitable for human life.
They also aren't solutions to an #economic and #political system designed to ensure the #WorkingClass doesn't get political power.
We need radical change now, and the longer we wait, the more radical, and the more painful it will need to be.

I'm gonna #VoteHarder today, but knowing full well the #Democrats aren't looking to change a goddam thing.
I get it, #Buffalo has some competitive races for council, with some #progressives running.
But, I also know, they will be neutered if they try to solve any problems, and a fair chance they'll just end up siding with the #oppressors anyways within a year or two.
I'm just counting down days until the first time one of them declare "We need to increase police budgets", guessing it will be under 400 days from now.

i abstain from ridiculing #VoteHarder; voting can help us survive to work for radical change.
But.
Democrats outlawing the rail worker strike, and pitching a change of heart by Republicans as the path to a pittance of sick leave, shows the lie.
