America elected a conman rapist insurrectionist convicted felon as president. The majority of citizens did not vote abdicated their duty as citizens.
The US going to have a huge fight on our hands to get rid of him and his sycophant regime.
The voters also gave Republicans control of Congress. Very bad. A fair and independent Congress would have already impeached and removed the criminal.
However, fascists Mike Johnson (House) and John Thune (Senate) control congress. Because 89 million Americans didn't vote, these Republicans won and are Trump's co-conspirators. They mock their responsibilities as leaders of a coequal branch of government, staying silent and inactive. Johnson and Thune are essentially giving up their own authority and handing over their power.
Voters put cowardly weak republican fascist in charge of congress, who have been going along with the crimes, and refuse to impeach and remove Trump.
Remember, vote Democratic party in every election.

Where Are You From
After the disaster that was the election last week I saw a handful of people on various social media sites posting things that looked a little like this:
Q: Are you from the United States of America?
A: No, I’m from Massachusetts.Thinking back to the disaster that was the presidential election in 2016, I was thinking things like that all the time. I remember commenting that watching my country elect a fascist president instantly turned me into a states rights kinda guy who put my state, Massachusetts WAY ahead of my country.
The way it felt in 2016 though… it was nothing compared to the way it feels now. I am not going to say that I am now a secessionist, but if New England, New York, and New Jersey wanted to make a go of it on their own, I’d be down with giving it a shot. You wouldn’t have to twist my arm very hard to get me on board. I would have to check out a map of election returns to see if we could maybe add Deleware and Maryland to the team. I know Virginia went for Harris, but that feels a little like a false flag to me, though that state has been voting Democrat more and more in recent years. I worry about including any state that can be described as Southern.
Maybe this little Northeastern Alliance could work something out with the West coast, assuming the good folks in California, Oregon, and Washington State would want to join us in our brave new world.
Again, I don’t feel as though I am a secessionist. After the bullshit demonstrated in the election last week though, I also no longer feel like an American. Any allegiance I feel at this point is to Massachusetts, not to the United States. If the rest of the country wants to embrace fascism let them. Leave me and my home state out of it.

I understand the Dem party isn't perfect. But if #Sharpton is right, we're toast. #Black voters have saved America time and time again by voting against the Republican party. Most recently in Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Without high Black voter turnout, the GOP would control both houses of Congress, and Joe Biden might have really lost the 2020 election.
I phrase this deliberately "voting against the Republican party." Because at this point you could run a *mannequin* for public office, and it would be better than any lying, theiving, gaslighting, #fascist GOP candidate.
The whole idea of #BlackRepublicans, especially Black Trump supporters, chills me to the bone. Because a vote for any Republican hurts people of color the most. It's absolute suicide.
I'm not in charge of Democratic messaging. But if I were, I wouldn't know how to say any of this better: The only chance for this nation, no matter what color your skin may be, is to vote #Democrat in every election for the rest of your life. Democrats are the only party that supports equality, labor, women's rights, civil rights, climate justice, or really any other policy of value.
If Republicans get into power, they *will* end elections. They will roll back civil rights. They will reimpose #jimcrow laws along with #abortion restrictions. They will impose a #Christian #theocracy They are particularly interested in suppressing the Black vote. How can this not be blindingly obvious, at this stage?

I’m serious when I say this: I don’t think the #DemocraticParty is all that useful, and I don’t like voting #LesserOfTwoEvils but…….for heaven’s sake #voteDemocrat today.
