If American #psyop propagandized #BC actually elects a #populist, #racist, faith based hate government we are truly in for a civil war on the West coast.I rarely believe the polls though, as modern polls are often rigged by Right Wing owned media to push their dream narrative.
These #Populist Conservatives can’t see that the #MapleMAGA wave is breaking in the States and will soon break in #Canada.
I’m done with the prospect of a divisive Conservative government destroying the culture we have built while forcing their Christian ideals on the rest of BC.
If they manage to win by harnessing racial hate and anti lgbtq+ narratives, #BritishColumbia has truly chosen strife over peace, division over unity and populist hysteria over sanity.
Those of us left will respond in kind. Eff these populist, hate driven politicians. Their day in the sun is done, we will not let their cancer of hate destroy our province.
This isn’t about politics anymore, it’s about a culture war supported/created by #American interests, stoked by power hungry, desperate #Conservatives and supported by washed up former #Liberals helping them attain power.
This is what happens when the BC Liberal (United) party just admits they are cosplay Conservatives and line up to stack the deck against the Left.
We now NEED #ProportionalRepresentation or #RankedChoice voting to prevent an inevitable culture war, both Federally and Provincially.
Without it we will continue to fight each other, in turn opening the door to American fascists who will exploit that divide they helped create to further shatter our country’s resolve.
Stay strong BC, I still have hope in a better outcome but am preparing for the worst. Push back the hate or end up wallowing in it.

Poilievre’s new slogan: “Hope for a change”
It’s a good one, and I agree completely… and also note that I have *never* heard him say something hopeful or positive.
So yes… I will vote for hope and the future.

The Edmonton Journal posted an article about the race in my riding. About the incumbent Conservative MP, Ziad Aboutaif, they write:
“Postmedia reached out to Aboultaif’s office on multiple occasions, and campaign manager Don Leben told Postmedia on Thursday over the phone that the campaign is going ‘very well’ but they’re ‘too busy’ to accommodate an interview request.”
This completely tracks with my experience in this riding.

I can’t believe we are now halfway through this election and #PierrePoilievre still refuses to get his #securityclearance!
The issue has only grown cold because Poilievre controls and limits questions while his online #propaganda campaign deems it a nothing burger.
Poilievre could have easily taken this issue off the table by getting security clearance months ago, instead he continues to make ridiculous excuses and commits to running for PM without it. Unconscionable.
There couldn’t be a sketchier choice for PM. Pierre is clearly just another political trump hiding his skeletons in plain sight. Possibly one of the most #compromised Canadian PM candidates ever.
The worst thing about this is that if #Poilievre were to win, he would be given security clearance regardless, and he knows it. Honestly, he shouldn’t even be qualified to run for PM without it.

#StephenHarper’s recent public endorsement of #PierrePoilievre provides us with a direct link from #FarRight authoritarian #VictorOrban to #quisling #Conservatives idolizing populist Pierre’s power grab ambitions of grandeur.
Orban, Harper’s IDU BFF, was integral to enacting #Trump’s #authoritarian playbook, even sending a team of his best to assist in the creation of #Project2025.
My hope is that this endorsement from an illiberal, morally bankrupt boomer, heavily invested in Israeli security technology and chairman of the destructive Far Right #IDU actively threatening democratic stability worldwide; backfires on #Poilievre.
Stephen Harper’s endorsement should be seen for what it is; a call to arms against “wokeness” and transparency in the interests of stifling democracy for a global far right alliance that seeks to install dictators around the world.

Voting in the #NSPoli Provincial Election was so easy. I went into a polling place that was not in my riding, showed ID, voted electronically with a paper receipt in the ballot box and out within five minutes. Lovely staff were so helpful too. #Democracy #VoteABC (Photo from 2013)

Note for those who don’t know: trans teens cannot currently have surgery and no-one is advocating for them to have surgery. What the Tories want to ban is puberty blockers and counselling. Puberty blockers are reversible (and anyway detransitioning is incredibly rare).
You can bet that the Tories will roll back even the somewhat skimpy climate policies offered by Trudeau too.
