  1. #FotoVorschlag: Typisch für deine Stadt/Region // Typical for your city/region

In our #museum and #culturalHeritage center we show the typical #rural culture of our region: maison-rurale.fr/ Thanks to the authentic atmosphere, we sometimes host film shoots, such as this one featuring a historical wedding for a local #costume hire company.

  2. For the next time, you will see a lot of #grannies because it's the theme for our International Festival Of #Wool And #Yarns starting on Friday.
Today, we had exactly zero visitors in our museum. 😒 But it gave us enough time for preparations, eating cake, and chatting. And yes, some grannies are made by me. 😊

  3. 1/2 In our #museum, visitors are often surprised when I show them our housemates, err, #garden mates. 😁
These #firebugs are also visitors, enjoying some warm stones. Normally, they live on the lime trees at the church beside the museum.
Firebugs feed on fallen lime seeds (and seeds of some other plants) and dead insects. They are no pest.
They communicate and gather with the help of #pheromones. Loving heat, they can

  4. May I introduce myself? I'm Phymatocerra aterrima, the Solomon's seal #sawfly. My larvae are extreme gourmets: they can eat only leaves of #SolomonsSeal and #LilyOfTheValley. If you kill the habitats of these plants, we can't survive. Therefore, we love the #forests of #VosgesDuNord and our photographer's wild #garden.
It's #fairy: #Polygonatum multiflorum is the fairy tale's key 'Springwurz' that opens all doors - perhaps also the magic viper's cave under the elder tree? #NatureMatchCuts

  6. This day exploded with snowdrops, bees, insects, and the first Red Admirable butterfly (Vanessa atalanta). Since my early childhood, it's my ritual to fill the first seen #flowers after winter into this vase. The snowdrops in our village date from the 1920s. A wonderful scent, the bees are powdered with pollen! If it's too cold, snowdrops are self-pollinators.

  7. Even in the darkest #winter, there are #colours in our #naturepark #VosgesDuNord. You find them on #wood, mostly #DeadWood. #WinterSolstice #fungi #lichensubscribe

    #GreenElfcup Chlorociboria aeruginascens (blueish-green), #DryRot (brown) and #YellowScale (yellow).

The beautiful yellow #lichen Xanthoria parietina is resistant to #pollution and used as a #biomonitor for heavy metals and #nitrogen pollution. You find it often near agriculture because it looks for high nitrogen levels in the air.
