Wir haben gestern den Kabarettist #MichaelFrowin im #Kommödchen in #Düsseldorf erlebt. Er hat in seinem Programm -Das wird ein Vorspiel haben- sehr pointiert und abwechslungsreich die aktuelle Lage kommentiert. Spannend waren die kundigen Einblicke in die Hirnfunktionen und die Schlusserkenntnis, das das heute (nur) das #Vorspiel für morgen ist
Michael betreibt in Hamburg das #Theaterschiff ist aber regelmäßig in Düsseldorf.

"Snađi se, druže!" – "figure it out, comrade" – is a common phrase used in former Yugoslavia. It originated during the WWII indicating that partisans in action had to come up with solutions under extremely unfavourable conditions. The question, when given instructions for an impossible mission, would often be "but how do I do that?", and the answer would often be "figure it out, comrade". Later during the socialist period, this expression would be used for practices that people were devising when encountering bureaucratic or material constraints in everyday life. All periods and societies have such practices of common lying, cheating and stealing and common phrases to name them.
FIO is a collective exploration of stories of ingenuity that people with little or no power devise when systems fail them. The evening at panke.gallery is focused on the inginuity of workers in the global gig factory. Particularly on tactics the workers on platforms such as Microwork, Amazon Turk or Upwork based in the Eastern Europe and the Global South contrive to fake their location or presence to cirumvent scant pay, surveillance and control that is frequently not expected from the gig workers in the Western Europe and the Global North.

Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 35, 10178 BerlinArcadia Inc. is a work of speculative fiction which investigates the commodification of nature through computer-generated landscape photography. In observing context erasure as the main mechanism behind re-programming images with new meanings, the work proposes a new model for obtaining the type of nature imagery meant for brand-based visual communication: a group of virtual beings which photograph scenic beauty in a real-time simulation. In an era when visual culture is created increasingly through technological automation, the work raises important questions about the future of image making.
Cezar Mocan is a Lisbon-based artist and computer programmer interested in the interplay between technology and the natural landscape. Using narrative generative systems—animated videos of infinite duration, real-time simulations built in game engines or other software—he creates worlds that recontextualize aspects of digital culture we take for granted, often in absurd ways, while investigating the power structures which mediate our relationship with technology. Drawing on media archaeology and art history, his research process traces the origins of our current thought patterns around (technological) progress.
Some of his past works have been exhibited with Inter/Access (Toronto), Office Impart (Berlin), Onassis ONX Studio (NY) SPRING BREAK Art Show (New York), Currents New Media (Center for Contemporary Art Santa Fe), BASE (Istanbul), Romanian Design Week (Bucharest) and The Wrong Biennale.
