"Tag der deutschen Einheit" #parkrun special at #volksgartenparkrun saw 164 participants and 24 volunteers this morning. Perfect weather for outdoor activities and (as far as I am concerned) for going to the movies later to see "The Beast of Mossy Bottom". Enjoy the public holiday 😀

Ended my tourist streak at event #303 of #volksgartenparkrun. 125 finishers and 18 wonderful volunteers enjoyed perfect conditions for their #parkrun walk/hike/jog/run/support. And, yes, the geese were outnumbered, at least the ones showing up in the start area.

Big weekend for #parkrun fans in Greater Düsseldorf! This Saturday, celebrate the 300th #volksgartenparkrun in Düsseldorf OR join the first #schlossrheydtparkrun in Mönchengladbach — welcome to the #parkrun family! Which one is it going to be? (Bonus points if you can pronounce Schloss Rheydt. 😉)

Winter has spoken—ice and snow have settled in, so #volksgartenparkrun is cancelled for tomorrow, January 10. Safety first, always! Stay cozy, stay safe, and enjoy the winter magic. Düsseldorf #parkrun will hopefully be back next week.
-
Unfortunately, #volksgartenparkrun has been cancelled for today, January 03. The course is in a too bad condition due to the weather to ensure a safe #parkrun this morning.

"Frohes neues Jahr!" from #volksgartenparkrun! We kicked off 2026 with 57 finishers—some still rubbing the sleep from their eyes—at our Düsseldorf #parkrun. Huge thanks to all volunteers, and a special shout-out to Pete, who volunteered for the 250th time today! 🎉

Well, after last week's sunny edition, it was mainly Mistwetter this morning at #volksgartenparkrun number 250. The 78 finishers were outnumbered by geese, I suppose, but it was a fun #parkrun here in Düsseldorf.
