Does anyone know of a good TeamTalk server or telephone chatline for the blind, preferably for adults? I know of the Blind Cafe and Out of Sight, but those are family-friendly. I am not necessarily seeking something explicit, though I'm not against it either. I just feel more comfortable around my fellow adults. However, since I love seniors, if I would be allowed on one of their sites or lines (I am only forty-two) that would be great! If you know of one but it's not for the blind, feel free to include it as well. Please note that I have no interest in Discord, Whatsapp, etc. as I don't use those. I would, however, be willing to try irc, even though that is strictly text-based provided I can find an accessible client. I know the old Accessible/Freedom Chat was good, but it only worked on their servers.

Alright, so just a little thing since I'm a curious creature! Why has voice chat been going down so much these days? It still seems to be pretty prevalent in the blind community for obvious reasons, but everywhere else I see it seems that creatures would rather text than talk. It kinda makes me sad, ya know. I just feel like it's so hard to make a connection over text alone. How can you truly understand how someone feels when you cannot get any indication of how they feel other than what they say. I am not accusing anyone of lying or anything, but sometimes we don't know how to express something, and the voice can tell a lot more than I think a lot of creatures realize. So I'm wondering what other creatures have to say about this. Why do y'all think this is? Also, if any creatures are like me and prefer to talk rather than text, I am always open, feel free to reach out anyway you can find me. I don't get why #Zulip is not used more often in "forums", for support work and for general community building. IMO, it's got modern UI and it's purpose-built to organize communities and help with asynchronous communication that can be searched later. Plus, it's entirely free and open source software and there are both self hosting and paid hosting options.

No other solution I know comes close, especially not the ones that focus on #VoiceChat or try to mimic #Discord, e.g. #Revolt.

I could really use a voice chat testing service I can call to check that my hardware, OS and app is working properly. Ensuring I can hear and be heard. Ideally one that works with any Free Code chat app, native or web.
