  1. Hey programmers. Any good resources on deadlocks in multi thread code? I seem to have run into a situation where locking a mutex blocks indefinitely and manually scanning all threads call stacks to find where that specific mutex is used is tying knots into my brain...

  5. I wish for #Microsoft execs to realize that pushing multi-gigabyte updates every week because their fancy #Copilot-slopped Copilot Integration breaks all the time since it got integrated with #VS2026 is unsustainable, and drop Copilot like a hot potato as fast as possible.

  9. Hey #dotNet #nerds, I have a question.

    #JetRider #dotUltimate vs. #VisualStudio 2026?

I'm currently running Visual Studio 2022 in a #Windows #VM. I'm open to giving #Rider and #ReSharper a chance, as I use #Linux primarily now. I gotta keep the VM either way, so that won't factor into the decision.

So, how's it stack up? Are project templates a thing, still? How does the testing suite, documentation, etc compare between the two?

  11. Microsoft product manager Leah Tran focuses on a new (18.7) feature of Visual Studio that allows developers to do a number of things with pull requests, review features in particular. This expands on the ide's capacity to handle source control from a single tool, as opposed to context switching through a variety of tools.
