There were some breaks in the cloud and patches of spring sunshine to be found on the moors today. Possibly I was the first human this tiny newborn foal had seen. Burrator Reservoir, Plymouth and the English Channel visible south in the background.

Devon was looking quite delightful this week. In the shelter of a strong and cold easterly wind, you could have mistaken it for August. So very peaceful and relaxing early in the morning at low tide, with the whole beach to yourself.

First signs of spring on a gloomy Monday. Although I have suspicions these dazzling daffodils growing in a hedge may be some garden escapees, rather than your normal trueform wild daffodils! I did some more bird song sound recording on the Zoom H5 today as well.
