@sudaksis If you want tracking free #VirtualPinball and are willing to accept a learning curve than Visual Pinball X could be your friend.
The simulator is open source and run on almost every platform (though most tutorials reference windows) and there’s tons of freeware tables with almost everything between 1970 and 2000 covered.
I’ve built a 2 screen mini cab running Linux with it, but you can also just slab it on your desktop.

Cyber Race - one of the very few original tables that plays like a real table. Apparently the designer has been building it as a physical table too.

I’m playing #StarTrek (2013) a lot recently. It’s a fast shooter with an easy rule set and a fair difficulty level. All major shots are easy to hit
(maybe except the warp ramp) and if you miss you’ll probably bash into something else. Only downside are the interchangeable missions (Klingon Battle? Prime Directive? Just hit the flashing ramps) and the rather low Trek vibes which are kind of fine for me, cause I don’t care so much for Kelvin Trek anyway. -
I tilted King Kong, and on the next ball it immediately tilted before I had a chance to launch... 😿

They finally fixed AC/DC on VPX. Great table. The only one I played in person was in bad shape.

Finally getting to update and play some tables on the vpin again. Tons of updates to broken tables that now work! And I completely missed the beta release of Foo Fighters by JPSalas.

@quester To their defence (apart from going cheap with AI): They might've run into legal trouble by using using real machines :-(
I also didn't mange to recreate a good resemblance when I tried to generate a splash screen for my #virtualpinball cab depicted a T2 and some neon letter yada yada.

Figured out a problem with volume on #virtualpinball #vpx tables. Remembered that under the 'coin door' setting there's a volume for games that have digital sound effects. Brought that up so it was at the same level as the 'table sounds' (like bumpers and flippers and stuff), and now it's completely playable!

@roygreenhilt I started my #virtualpinball directly on #batocera and I can't judge it on Win.
I love how many things already work out of the box, but if you start hitting walls it's hard to find help because almost all docs and discussions are Win only. Luckily the folks on Discord are a great help :-)

Added some new (old) tables from Mr. Jpsalas! If you're thinking, wow Arizona must be so much fun! - No, it's a death machine. King Kong, however, is pretty fun.

Tonight I finally got back to almost par working on my #virtualpinball machine. I had built the standard VPX Windows based box a while back and let me tell you - it SUCKED. Maintenance was almost impossible, and... it just sucked. The games played okay when they played, but debugging problems? Absolute nightmare.
This is now runnign on #batoceralinux and is much easier to maintain. Here's Attack from Mars on it. It's good to be back.

Upgrading several tables, and added Playboy. America's most haunted broke a while back with a recent update - so all better now!

Someone has been going through and fixing old Scottywic tables that no longer work for the latest version of VPX. It's nice to have Stranger Things back! Hopefully Pizza Time is next... There's also a beautiful new version of Medieval Madness and a table that no one remotely asked for... Stargate 🤮.

Just upgraded my #Writefreely installation on #Uberspace to v0.16.0 after a long time because an old glibc issue was fixed with the newest release 🚀
Now I have just one big wish left: Fediverse comments on federated blog posts published in the Writefreely blog under the corresponding posts.

Testing a new original table - The Shining. I'm not 100 percent how I feel yet. Original tables tend to feel very unrefined, but you occasionally run across a great one. It's been fun so far but a little buggy.

It's so funny how a few milliseconds causes the flippers to feel *very* off. I switched to windowed instead of exclusive full screen in VPX and it became unplayable. Exclusive full screen has it's issues but I'm sticking with it...

I thought, ok it's been several years - I should finally set up Future Pinball... It's so much of a headache compared to Visual Pinball. I'm only a few hours into an 8 hour setup tutorial. It's just not the same so far. I'm having a lot of issues getting things sized correctly for my cabinet. The physics are also... special. Maybe once I get the hang of it I'll change my mind.
