Here's a virtual pet that's a little bit different. It's the Giga Farm from 1998. You have animals to raise, and crops to grow! Choose from a horse, pig, sheep, or cow, and grow corn, wheat, grass and beans to feed your farm animals. The animals neigh, baa, oink and moo at you. You can care for multiple animals.
This here is Bob the pig. Bob likes splashing in the mud. Bob is looking forward to eating the corn that I am currently growing for him. 🐖

We are currently working on these characters for our virtual pet game. Once the pet we are raising completes its evolution, it will roam the desktop and collect gold.

Wanted to hatch a Tamagotchi. Figured I hadn't run this little guy in a long while. Here's Chibi Tamagotchi from 2004, a super-simple tama with basic needs: food & snacks. There are no games, no tasks or challenges. It's the original basic chibi before the Nano came on the scene. This Apple shell is super rare and can reach silly prices on eBay. Let's see what this baby evolves into!

Just a short little #blog update today - with all the good news going on around here, and the usual springtime rush of fresh energy, I'm going to be resuming work on #PETI, the homebrew #VirtualPet I started work on back in 2019.
There's just one itty bitty problem: the development branch is about six months stale and I have no sweet clue what the hell I was up to from back then.
I will be disentangling that during lab hours on my twitch channel tomorrow.

There are a number of "boyfriends" you can be lumped with on start-up, and they are all varying degrees of horrible, but differ widely in personality. The way you respond to them will affect the outcome of the game. You date them, buy them gifts, take them places, etc. Things can get spicy if you so choose. This here is Charlie. 🤔

Man, am I ever going to see these two ever achieve ultimate form? I have 98% win ratio on both of them, teams and solo.
Does it have to be equal to 15 fights and at least 12 victories? I feel like because I went over, they’re stuck as Champions.

One day when I was out with my aunt in the car:
Me: *pulls out digivice to check on my Digimon*
Aunt: "What's that?"
Me: "Oh, that's my virtual pet. It gave me another layer of responsibility."
Aunt: "Ah, so you have to tend to it?"
Me: "Yes. If I don't, then I either get a care mistake or they die. I check on them every few minutes to clean their messes, feed, and train. I even put them to bed at night."

Look at just how RADIANT this Digivice is. I’ve been out in the sun with this beside me for 30 minutes while I listened to music.
Went back in to let the sewer guys work, and my god, the sun made my Digivice glow brighter!
