“Cisco is committed to transparency. When issues in our products arise, we handle them openly
and as a matter of top priority, so our customers understand the issue and how to address it.
We are aware of an issue affecting Viptela vEdge 1000, vEdge 2000, vEdge 100M and vEdge
100B platforms. We have identified the problem as an expired hardware security certificate
affecting control plane connections, which will eventually impact data plane connections
resulting in loss of service.

At this time, our immediate guidance for customers is do not reboot the device and prioritize
maintaining connections between the vEdge devices and the controllers. Our teams are actively
investigating workaround options and a long-term fix.

When new information is available, we will notify our customers through our established
channels so they can take appropriate action.”
