I recently finished watching Violet Evergarden and this was the first anime that had me nearly crying in almost every episode.
And I honestly think it could do with a live-action. There are very few fight scenes and the message is generally more philosophical than other animes.

Hmm, I think whoever put the citations in the middle of what should be blank quotes for #VioletEvergarden episodes 7 & 8 kinda missed the point... Surely the citation should go after the very important blank no title titles of those two critical episodes??
Better to use 『 』 or something similar for those episode titles, anyway, I think...

**Endlich geklappt – Violet Evergarden in der richtigen Edition!**
Ich schleiche ja schon eine ganze Weile um die Serie *Violet Evergarden* herum. Da wir kein Netflix haben, fiel das Streaming leider flach. Lange Zeit gab es physisch nur die DVD-Version, aber ganz ehrlich: DVDs sind nun wirklich nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Das wollte ich mir nicht antun.
Dann stieß ich endlich auf eine Gesamtedition auf Blu-ray. Hier gab es allerdings zwei Varianten: eine mit 7 und eine mit 8 Discs. Der entscheidende Unterschied? Der Film „Erinnerungen“. Damit war der Fall klar: Die 7er-Box kam nicht infrage, es musste die große Box sein. Das Problem war nur, dass sie restlos überall ausverkauft war. Wirklich überall.
Also habe ich mein Glück bei Google versucht und bin tiefer eingestiegen als sonst – weit also wirklich weit über die erste Suchseite hinaus. Und tatsächlich: Bei einem Händler in Österreich wurde ich fündig! Das Verrückte war, dass die Box dort sogar günstiger war als die kleine Version bei Amazon. Da gehen natürlich erst mal die Alarmglocken an: „Zu gut, um wahr zu sein?“
Ich habe lange hin und her überlegt, es dann aber einfach gewagt. Dank PayPal-Käuferschutz hielt sich das Risiko ja in Grenzen. Am 15.12. habe ich bestellt, und heute stand DPD schon vor der Tür. Es ist tatsächlich die echte 8-Scheiben-Box.
