I'm not a big Viognier drinker, but this popped up and did well! This 2019 K Vintners Viognier from Charles Smith is fresh, and more elegant perhaps with a few years on it. It's certainly prime time. Impeccably balanced, this high-elevation Viognier is delicate in the best way, restrained but persistent, nothing out of place. The wood (15% new, 16 months) doesn't stick out. 14% alc., around $40.

Their sours & wild ales are next level while their (BA) stouts are nice.

And we’re off! With the first two lots, including this #Viognier, from Austin Collins’s viewpoint on the forklift, we’re excited to welcome the #2023harvest at #TablasCreek. One day down, roughly 70 more to go.

Markus is very happy to finally get going on harvest after almost a 3 week delay due to the near perfect cool 2023 growing season. Berghold Viognier being picked this morning.

Absolutely beautiful Viognier picked this morning at Berghold Vineyards. Lots of flavor, no mildew. Nice work, Berghold Team!

Beautiful morning to kick off our 2023 harvest!
We started with Berghold Lodi Viognier.
Hoping all days will be like this! -
Viognier buds are starting to move in the the North Languedoc. About par with last year, and less developed than 2021 (which had the disastrous April 08 frost of -6 to - 8C). Fingers crossed for #NoFrostPlease #Vineyard #Languedoc #Viognier

Celebrating a big win today with this spectacular 2014 Keith Tulloch Shiraz Viognier. The 2014 vintage is widely regarded as one of the very best from the Hunter Valley, and now with 9 years in the bottle it's really singing! Needed about half an hour to really reach its best but when it did, wow! For a wine that can be had for under AUD$40, it's absolutely stunning value.
