    The Lambrettas were actually discovered, if that’s the right word, by the relatively new Rocket Record Company. Elton John’s label formed in 1973. The story is that they sent flyers around and leaflet dropped asking bands to call the studio number, 499 2139, and put an advertisement in Melody Maker hoping to attract new talent...
