Ah, the riveting saga of #mildew vs. analog tapes—truly a battle for the ages 🎻. Who knew mold was such a connoisseur of sound quality? 📼 Maybe next time they can research how dust affects vinyl, because clearly, that’s what the world is waiting for with bated breath. 🙄

This one took a while to arrive. Pre-ordered it months ago. When it arrived it was damaged so had to send it back. But it's here now in good shape so now we can go crazy.

2020 will go down as an epic year for new music.
Osees 'Protean Threat' is very much a favourite.
Frenetic, psyche rock with plenty of experimental layers but never deviating too far from it's garage roots.

An #AbstractArt piece, the subject of which was suggested by a friend in the past year. While I have stuck to digital my childhood was vinyl and cassettes and which of those have survived? I'll let you guess. LOL

If this selection is indicative of what people buy, most people who have a record player listen to a lot of Taylor Swift and Evanescence?

So far for now, all my vinyl ‘rips’ have been into WAV, and then converted to FLAC (as I can easily run flac *.wav.) I’m thinking I probably don't need lossless for this, but using MP3 in 2023 seems wrong...
I realise that digitally archiving vinyl is the wrong way to play it, but convenience is a thing too. #Archiving #VinylMusic
#introduction hey all, I’m Jeremy, also @nothingistrue elsewhere. US refugee escaped to Switzerland decade and a half ago. Originally from Tucson AZ, then 12 odd years in SF CA from mid 90s to mid 2000s. I’ve been a designer in of tech and software orgs for the past 25-ish years, still am, but I decided to balance that out earlier this year by challenging myself to open a small #vinylmusic cafe/bar, roxycafe.ch
