Haven't see the film Village of the damned (1960) for decades. Certainly never seen the John Carpenter mid 90's remake. I seem to remember a fair number of white haired children when I was in the infants and junior school. #VintageCinema

Interesting Find
Found in a local charity shop, mid to late 1950's GB-Bell & Howell Autoload 16mm cine camera.
No clue if it would work but in decent condition and just nice to have, complete with original bag and manual.
Lola and Loki were fascinated by it 😂
Lens: Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 XF Wide Angle on the Fuji X-T30

Over the years I've gathered a small collection of magic lantern slides, some of them having been made as advertisements for use in cinemas. Here's one example, advertising a Laurel and Hardy film that was first screened in 1943.

Tell me whether you think this is even a good idea. 😉
I do like bad #MST3K / #RiffTrax level movies, but have a short attention span. So, I have a tendency to skip my way through them. SOOOOO...
I have saved the results of skipping my way through a cheezy 1990 movie, skipping 10 seconds, leaving in a few seconds, skip again, etc. Ta-Da! Movie reduced to the length of a sitcom episode. Don't worry, you'll still get the gist of the whole movie.
I have also added some SubSnark℠ which is riffy type comments in the subtitles. If you want some snark, turn on the captions, if not turn them off.
Should I make more??
