Купил в Риге за смешные копейки неплохую камеру - #Praktica MTL3. Ориентировочно, 1979г выпуска.
Светлый просторный видоискатель, точное наведение на резкость по сплит-микропризме, выдержки до 1/1000, металлические!!! шторки!
И купил ещё #Зенит-Е почти даром, в хорошем состоянии. Побаловаться - это была мечта детства, отец мечтал Зенит приобрести.
Должен сказать, Praktica настолько превосходит Зенит - технологически, качественно, что их даже нельзя сравнивать. Это камеры разных эпох. Причём Praktica - именно на уровне передовых решений в #фото того времени, а Зенит напоминает во всём Зоркий, к которому приделали зеркало. Молодцы, #Pentacon!

New film photos are in the pipeline!
Finally, I have been well enough to get out and about and take some film photos! I spent a week in Guájar-Faragüit and a week in Capileira taking photos with my #Mamiya C220 and #Pentax #Spotmatic. I am now back, developing and scanning the films.
I am taking this opportunity to review my workflows and websites, so there are a lot of changes. Further updates soon...

Been a rough 9 days for me. Currently recovering from an op, then an infection. The meds given for it were awful. Hopefully ok now.

I mentioned that we went to an antique store yesterday. I was hoping to maybe find some old camera gear. I saw a grand total of four cameras. One was digital so it doesn’t count. One was a Ricoh film camera that looked like it was probably from the 1990’s. I didn’t know anything about it so I passed. There were two really old cameras. The Kodak Autographic Jr that I posted yesterday. I was really interested in that one but I wanted to dig into it a bit first. That was a good move. They don’t make the film it uses anymore. Bummer. You can get adapters that let you use 120 film but that is a smidge above my interest level at this point. The fourth camera was a Kodak Brownie from the 1950’s that was interesting too, but looking into that told me what I was already pretty sure of. They don’t make the film that camera uses either. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Weather has been good enough that I managed to pop into the city to begin to finish off a part used (5 exposures) 126 cartridge film in an old Kodak Instamatic I got some months back. Yep F8 or F11 fixed focus square negative, 24 exposure. You forget how spoiled we are with wide angle lenses these days. Surely bought on the advice of my uncle, trained professional photographer with journeyman certificate («svennebrev») and at the time Chief Photographer at the NTB news agency in Oslo. This photo taken now in raw format DNG with my iPhone.

As well as using #VintageCameras I have a (currently lapsed, though I have so many waiting in boxes -- probably the closest I'll ever come to having a pension :D ) #SideHustle fixing (cleaning, light seals, oiling, etc.) them up and adding shiny new covering.
Here's some (not pictured a nice blue #Olympus #OM20 that I don't seem to have taken pics of, or at least can't find them).
