Oh nice, #VimClassic is in the #OpenBSD repos! :D

Couldn't seem to get #VimClassic to compile on #FreeBSD.
But then I realized the only thing I used it for is sncli, because it does something funny with the terminal when it hands it off to nvi, such that the cursor becomes invisible. But then, it's just a
!resetto fix it, so I might as well just stick with nvi. ;) -

Was very easy to compile and

I updated my notes on #Ansible integration with #Vim (also works with #VimClassic ): https://hackmd.io/@gjherbiet/ansible-vim

And #btw, I now use #vimclassic, as I only rely on very few #vim plugins anyway (mostly some additional syntaxes + `vim-gitgutter`).

Some FosseryWeb updates:
In the announcement post of last week's major update I asked whether the original site should have rounded, slighly rounded, or edged corners, all three options received one vote, so I decided to go with the middleground, the slightly rounded corners. I also updated the Timeline page to include last week's major update and the design change, fixed metadata on the Min site's cheatsheet pages (where the title said FosseryWeb instead of FosseryWeb Min), updated the "tools I use" section on About page.
https://fosseryweb.codeberg.page/
https://fosseryweb-min.codeberg.page/
(The site is a bit slow at the moment, seems like Codeberg servers have some performance issues, probably a bit much load due to a bunch of FOSS projects leaving GitHub, the majority of them going to Codeberg. Luckily you can run the site(s) offline too, see instructions in README: https://codeberg.org/fosseryweb/pages)Minor update to my Joplin config:
Joplin recently got an update where F11 got mapped to toggling fullscreen by default, which conflicted with my setting of toggling the note list, so I decided to modify toggling sidebar (notebook list) to F2 and toggling note list to F3, to ensure the two keys are next to each other, and don't conflict with any default setting.

And since #VimClassic was released a couple of days ago, I'll use this as an opportunity to install and test-drive that as well.

#Vimclassic is the last non-slop vim in maintenance mode.
#Evi is the last non-slop vim with an eye to continuing development of the project and adding new ideas and cool stuff, just not via AI slop.
I use Evi as my daily driver
Evi's headed by @mrmasterkeyboard
Vim Classic by @drew
EDIT: grammer, spelling, layout, added tags

@chickenkiller Oui.
Vim, canal historique. ^^

:thisIsFine: Panic. I've just pulled Vim. `agents.md` pops up. Panic sets in.
More EnLLMification, and now it's even in my favourite editor :blobcattableflip:! Nothing is spared. Ugh, this makes me so angry! Really angry. IN VIM, FOR FUCK'S SAKE!... :blobcattableflip:
I suppose I'll have to rewrite all my Vim9Scripts in VimScript and test vim-classic 8.3. I’m so sick of this. You can't even summarise this in a single toot.
Nobody believes this shit anymore.
Vim. It's seriously ridiculous.

@drew @lu_leipzig I'm looking forward to #VimClassic being on #Debian as an alternative to Vim.
So hopefully one of the packagers is interested and I hope not already overwhelmed by all that's been happening recently. Maintainers and packagers are having to deal with a lot at the moment.
