I have noticed a significant decrease in mindless #toodles in recent weeks.
What used to be daily occurrences, are now weekly.

Also to project your own beliefs and experiences on others while denying the experience of others is what I call #vigilanteJustice and I have pinned posts on that as well.
It is the knee-jerk reactions to people's posts on first interaction that is causing the balkanization of the #fediverse, and we are witnessing that in realtime.
Not everybody looks like, thinks like, and posts like you do, and if you can't tolerate diversity of thought, my best.

This is not a bug, but a flaw in #ActivityPub, or the way Mastodon interprets it.
Losing posts is why blocking is so harmful. It fragments the #fediverse.
Better to use #mute and report harassers to moderators instead of carrying out #vigilanteJustice 🙂

While many in #fediverse are welcoming new users, some #billionaire-level misanthropes who have made it here themselves are busy bullying, blacklisting, meting out punishment, and otherwise carrying out #vigilanteJustice on their own just because they are "annoyed" by the handle and tone of a nascent account with just a handful of posts (quite decent, btw).
What a way to treat humans with #toodles!

Which is the problem.
When one PUBLICLY celebrates blacklisting of another with #toodles instead of silently muting them, no harm in calling it out publicly.
#VigilanteJustice means different things in different circumstances, which is why I tagged it. You can look up what I mean 🙂
In this case, the #toodler has #ActuallyAutistic in her bio. She knows that the shorthand "I'm autistic" is ACTUALLY used by unscrupulous users

People have opinions on million different things, not all of which one need to agree with, but what does it say about one who tries to silence and permanently blacklist another on the basis of a single toot?

One of the major flaws in #ActivityPub is the #block feature that shifts moderation powers away from moderators and into the hands of #tonePolice.
Any influential account can abuse that power to carry out #vigilanteJustice on a whim and permanently blacklist anybody from their large following.
This goes beyond muting or blocking someone from oneself, as the effect is transitive.
This risks stratification of social web by elites with no regard for diversity of opinion or tone.

Victim in this case has a valid point about lax standards in organic farming, and yet apologized MULTIPLE times, but it was not good enough for the #billionaire class 🙄
See, the enforcer of norms, who demands other people's bio while telling them to #MindYourOwnDamnBusiness has no issues herself jumping into OTHER people's conversation to carry out #vigilanteJustice, whacking people, and celebrating with #toodles on a DAILY basis.

I don't carry out #vigilanteJustice like #WhackATroll or mete out punishment to people who "annoy" me and celebrate those with gleeful #toodles.
Instead, I have a #RUDEphilosophy, where the leading acronym R.U.D.E. stand for #Reconcile, #Update, #Disagree, and #Expose:
1. Parties reconcile differences & move on.
2. One party realizes their assumptions were outdated. Update & move on.
3. Parties agree to disagree & move on.
4. One party exposes themselves as a #troll and refuses to move on.
