Source 1: To be fair, I don't believe we [Major Retailer] got as much supply as other online retailers, but once the 7800 XT went on sale - it was gone in hours nationwide. The 7700 XT is selling well too!
Source 2:I don’t have access to centralized numbers, but at least at our location both cards sold out today.
Source 3: In August our [Major US Retailer] hottest sellers were the 6950 XT, 4070, and 6800 XT...so I already knew there was a hunger for solid $400-$600 GPUs out there, and thus I expected N32 to sell well at announced price points...but what I saw today was wild. Within hours of opening multiple sales reps told me they had each sold handfuls of 7800 XTs, and by closing most of our stock was gone.
Source 4: Day 1 sales numbers are in - averaged across our locations [Major US Retailer], this seems to be the most successful GPU launch we've seen in 2023. Granted, that's not saying much considering

Although I will say the 7700 XT is selling weaker in North America than it is in other regions. But we respond accordingly. Expect a higher proportion of 7800 XTs to keep arriving in NA for the foreseeable future... maybe 60% of shipments will be 7800 XT instead of 50%.

Sure, GPUs are not inflated, but the prices are a lot higher thanks to greedflation, thus higher MSRP.

Not buying any GPUs until prices go down further. Also, anything besides a RTX 4090 and RX 7900 XTX are ripoffs compared to the previous generation.
