A QUICK QUESTION FOR MY #TECH BUDDIES ON HERE:

Is there a trick to easily removing a #VideoCard from an x16 slot?

The front tab is locked in place and no amount of pushing will release it (I tried pressing with a screwdriver, which slipped several times. So I stopped before I damaged something.

I want to install a new #M2 drive, but in a feat of TERRIBLE design, they placed the second M2 slot directly under the x16 video card slot, requiring its removal first. 😒

I think I'm going to order a new budget video card soonish.

I get by on a GTX 1050ti (4 GB) with the games I have, but I'd like to get by on some newer games I don't have yet too.

I'm looking at ordering an RTX 3050 6 GB, as they're under $200 and don't require a power line directly from from the PSU. (Apparently the 3050 8 GB does require a power line directly from the PSU, so I won't get that one.)
I don't want to have to upgrade my PSU.

Oh, and cleaned this beautiful Nvidia 8800GTX. The first videocard with Cuda cores instead of pixel shaders and vertex shaders. It has 128 Cuda cores that you can use for a lot of stuff. It is was a gamechanger, and make it possible to do more than just playing games with it😋

The chip is a NVIDIA GT200B from 2008 with 192 Cuda cores and 1GB of VRAM.
The GPU is baked by TSMC on 55nm. The architecture is Tesla 2.0.
It is It is about as powerful as the GTX 260. But with more VRAM as usual:)
