Today I was gifted an old video recorded by @Muellers_Kabinett in the mid 90s at #GayPride in #Dortmund. We were interviewing people on that year‘s motto of the pride (#CSDfresh), because most people were not what we perceived as young back then, and we were clowning around.
We were so fucking young and a lot fuller of ourselves than I remembered.
I have to get back a slice of that :-)

I’m looking for an alternative to Youtube to host my work. Some this is experimental music with not-electronic instruments, so e with electronic instruments, some experimental/expanded cinema.

Anyone have a peertube/video8 or other federated thingie instance that might be a good home for this sort of thing? Would prefer a creative-focused instance over a broad audience instance.

I am thinking about organizing some kind of free digitization process for queer folks who have queer rallies, parades, events... etc., that are stuck on formats like Video8, MiniDV, MiniDVD, VHS-C.

I want to help preserve these moments, and ideally share them publicly in an archive (and on archive.org).

I think it might be a bit much for me to take on right now given my existing way too big project/hobby list to finish for my OWN personal affairs (like my blog posts, and I've got 8mm family movies to scan, but I need to build the scanner!)

but I thought to share this idea out there at least.
