  4. Witness the elegance of the 1850s in "A Bride and Her Bridesmaids." Southworth and Hawes elevated portraiture with innovative techniques, celebrating Victorian fashion and social status. How does this timeless piece resonate with today’s wedding aesthetics?

  5. my belly is reduced enough but not yet toned enough that corsets suddenly make perfect sense. that sounds downright comfortable, honestly.

    A rare #TransFitness / #VictorianFashion crossover post.

  6. The first art of 2025 is indeed a quite old one but I didn’t manage to share it before, so let’s start the year by fixing this 🙇

  7. This is the first corset I ever made, as well as a first attempt at a chemise. Both were made with Laughing Moon patterns. I really love the look the green jaquard gives it, maybe I'll eventually add some flossing to really make it pop.

  8. I made this dress a couple years ago as a costume for my short film Damned Supper. I used a Butterick pattern based on late 1830s fashions that I think *might* be out of print now, which is kind of sad because it's such a lovely intricate pattern.

  9. Day 6 of #Inktober #teasing
This year I will do inktober with the very talented @lady_in_black (on IG).
Based on the official list, we have written a prequel about the Chamberlain, the villains of my story of the 2019 edition.
For the last day, Alisa imagine my characters as toddlers. Since Esther is a Victorian Lady, I can’t imagine her being comfortable so naked so I make her properly dressed.
