  1. Earlier today, at ‘Caring for Barrambin’ Day.

This is what they're planning to bulldoze, level and concrete over.

If you haven't done so, please fill in a submission for the Section 10 application under the ATSIHP act (only takes a few seconds) to get the First Nations cultural significance of this site recognised:

  2. People of #Meanjin / #Magandjin / #Brisbane, it would be great if you could make it tomorrow:

    ‘Caring for Barrambin’ Day
    Saturday, 16th May, 10am onwards
    #Barrambin / #VictoriaPark

GIICA plans to fence off most of our biggest inner-city park in about two weeks. Come and show your solidarity with First Nations people fighting to not have their sacred, living country covered in concrete. ✊

  4. I asked GIICA for plans for the stadium and watersport venues at #Barrambin / #VictoriaPark and this is what they replied:

"While we are unable to provide a detailed map or plans of all buildings and amenities at this time, we have attached an overhead view of the precinct that shows access changes and fence lines from 1 June 2026."

So... they are fencing off most of the park on 1st of June, but can't show us plans of what will be built?

This is the map of what they plan to fence off in June.

  5. After the Labour Day March, went for a stroll to record some observations. I got 39, including plants, birds, insects, reptiles, arachnids and fungi.
