It's nice. No slop. Clamps straight. Wasn't that expensive. With a couple discounts it was cheaper than the beat up old used ones people try to sell for too much money around here.
Apart from the rotating base, it can also spin around its shaft and has a pipe clamp on the other (here bottom) side. Very handy for cutting a pipe without having to do awkward saw/grinder gymnastics.
Now I just need somewhere to bolt it too.

Got this magnetic sweeper thingie after seeing it somewhere on Fedi. Should reduce the steel, nails and bits of wire in the yard somewhat. Probably won't pull tractor parts and lost bulldozers out of the ground though.
Also can pick the nails out of the ashes with it, I think.
The magnets are inside an aluminium body, the handle on top lifts them off internally so the treasures can easily be dropped into a bucket.
The wheels are plastic running on the threaded section of a bolt, which is very stupid design. Might fix later.

What is the point of #Vevor having an online shop when can you buy all of their stuff considerably cheaper on #AliExpress, with fast shipping from EU warehouses?
It's not like the Vevor shop is better organized either, there's the same product listed multiple times with some out of stock and others (of the same version) in stock, and slightly different prices.

On win11 I just get one static image no matter if VLC or amcap, on Debian I get 1...2 seconds of video via VLC and freezing image after this. Mplayer is not happy at all with default config.
I assume they encode some metadata in between or after frames and this messes up video processing. But thats just a guess.
So video out and video capture in principle works out of the box for this variant/generation of the device :ablobcaramelldansen:
Edit: the h264 stream works: ffplay -fflags nobuffer -f v4l2 -input_format h264 -i /dev/video0
The device identifies itself as infiray c200 so I suspect its compatible SW wise -
