i have enough arrangements to perform a whole half hour recital of #VesterinenYhtyeineen covers on the piano - but not much else ;-) not that i mind
the laptop i record my piano with needs some repair and i haven't the patience to make a proper video for this song at this time anyway ... and honestly i'd rather perform live

Today I went to Turku for the opening of a musical based on songs by #VesterinenYhtyeineen, written and performed by the Turun Kisa-Veikot theatre club. (Why does a sports association have a theatre club?) They managed to fit a surprising number of songs and it was fun to see how they snuck details from the lyrics into the script and staging.
It's probably just coincidence that it's Tero's 50th birthday, but I think he would approve of my celebrating by supporting amateur theatre :) -

It is hard to overstate how wholesome #VesterinenYhtyeineen are. We associate rock bands with personality clashes, drama, and other kinds of petty behaviour, but these guys got none of that. Even though they're a 10-piece group. They're democratic and have principles and ground rules. Maybe that's their secret to success?

This thing fills at least a year's worth of space on my patch collection(, 2nd annex), which I only display/wear once a year for Vappu. For best effect it really should be on a jean jacket but I don't wear denim (anymore). Sure, they also have it printed on t-shirts, but that it's a patch is part of the joke, IMO.
I'm nearing the age when I really need a magnifier for sewing and painting. The headband is good especially when I'm not working at a table.

Last summer I took the suggestion from the official #vesterinenyhtyeineen fanclub to cover the song #katkaisuhoitaja.
It's about things I don't have direct experience with, so it was really hard to write the video script.

Recorded a pretty good take of my #piano cover of "Hetken ikuinen" by #VesterinenYhtyeineen today. I did the thing again where the arrangement makes the song sound 10x more pensive...as if it weren't pensive enough already?
Why do I keep doing this?
