Does anyone on Fedi happen to have an old Zalman FG-1000 FPSgun mouse they'd be willing to take apart? I'd really like to know what sensor was in the mouse, and all of the ones I had are still on the other side of the Atlantic.

Fediverse, I'm on the market for a new vertical mouse.
Do you have recommendations for a vertical mouse that
- is well supported on Linux
- has a rechargeable battery
- can be charged with a usb-c cable
- can be used while it's charging -

Do you have experience of, or suggestions for, vertical mice – or for other types of wrist-related computer ergonomics?
As I get older, I realize a day job at the computer pairs badly with my wrist-intensive hobby of bouldering.

Check out this wacky wireless vertical mouse I've been using. Any of you use one? It changes color. Takes some getting used to. But might be worth it. Supposed to maybe help carpal tunnel a little? Ergonomic and whatnot. I'm not diagnosed, but the sheer amount of time I use computers.. Stuff starts to hurt. I kinda dig this mouse. Only took a few days to really get used to. First, at slow cursor speed, now pretty much fully sped up to my usual speed.

PS. I didn't know that vertical mouse was a thing and now I'm curious about it. I also want to avoid wrist/arm injuries caused by prolonged laptop use. I've already started feeling some discomfort in my arms/wrist, that's why I want to make my desk setup more ergonomic.

My first vertical mouse has arrived. So strange, but I know that in the long run it will be worth it. I mainly have shoulder problems sometimes, and I wanted one a long time ago. I could try 3-4 of them last week, and I ordered a similar one, which is a lot cheaper, but good for a tryout. I will expect about a week to get used to it, and I hope it helps later.

Does anybody have an experience with trackball mouse, here? I have shoulder pain and I am looking for an alternative to normal mouse. My bet at the moment is on vertical mouse, but I want to hear some experiences about trackballs too.
