To start with, the site, the Berlin Ichthyosaur State Park in Nevada is famous for its assemblage of multiple specimens of the giant ichthyosaur, Shonisaurus. The how and why the ichthyosaurs ended up preserved together has been the subject of speculation for over 50 years. Good morning! Coming from Twitter it seems a bit weird to post something so loaded with hashtags but I am looking to find people in my academic discipline on this site.

I am a #Canadian #undergraduate #student at the #UniversityofAlberta, studying #paleontology, #wildlifebiology and #zoology. My areas of interest include #vertebratepaleontology, #vertebrateevolution, and #devonian #fish!

I work in #VertebratePaleontology, with focus on the #Evolution of #JawedVertebrates and the #FishTetrapodTransition. The timeframe for my research essentially spans the #Silurian, #Devonian and #Carboniferous periods. Much of my work is based on #SynchrotronTomography carried out at the #EuropeanSynchrotronRadiation Facility, #ESRF.

I might have pdfs of these articles. But distributed them to interested people would be illegal and wrong.
