climate change is real and your transportation choices matter
Finally… a temporary state where at least all #velomobiles and #recumbents fit into the garage. Shelves need to be added and carpet needs to be rolled, but I'm quite happy with what we reached so far.
@waldoj EVs actually won't get there. They're already obsolete. What we need is smaller, lighter, less powerful vehicles, not bigger, heavier, more powerful ones.
Something much more like #velomobiles is the answer.
I went to @spezialradmesse_spezi specifically for the #velomobiles but was beyond impressed with the variety of ingenious bicycle related products. In a wonderful world of Bosch & Bafang I found the @pendix_edrive to be an elegant & super easy to install option for electrifying just about ANY bike or velomobile
A little stress test with a prototype of the shoulder protectors for alpha 7 #velomobiles. Unlike as in the #velomobile the protector does not sit flat on the ground, front and rear only. It takes several jumps (me: 72 kg) to break the protector. If one ever hits the manhole that hard, I'd really prefer to have these things installed.
