I can't believe we're already into the second month of serialization for "A Code of Silence"!

It's been a really cool experience so far, and though I feel like I've probably made no headway in the #Vellys (attachment/engagement isn't very high), I'm at least happy with how the story is being received by those who have spoken to me about it.

1.) The story is set in New York City, 1989-????.

2.) I've had the main story beats in my notes for almost a decade(!), but have just been waiting to actually write the story for many different reasons. Recently figured it was now or never, just in time to find out about the #vellys.

3.) The main character/narrator (Reggie) looks like a cross between my dad, my uncle, and a third person who will remain a secret.

Monday, August 5th, I will begin serialization of a brand new story titled "A Code of Silence", exclusively on #kindlevella (in time for this year's #vellys)! Over the first 2 weeks, 10 free episodes will be published, one per day, Monday through Friday. Then new episodes will arrive on Thursdays until the story reaches completion (full schedule TBA).
