Non può esistere transfemminismo senza antispecismo, né antispecismo senza un approccio intersezionale. Elisa Ortolani (autrice di “Politiche dell’antispecismo. Superare lo specismo con un approccio intersezionale”) e Marco Reggio (autore, fra gli altri, di “Cospirazione animale. Tra azione diretta e intersezionalità”) porteranno le loro riflessioni e teorie sulla liberazione animale – umana inclusa – partendo proprio da questo principio.

Parleremo di identità e dualismi, disabilità e neurodivergenze, vegan washing israeliano, allevamenti e autodeterminazione dei corpi: verso una liberazione totale e una resistenza radicale.

L'evento si inserisce all'interno di una settimana di mobilitazione antispecista universitaria che si estende tra Università Statale e Università Bicocca.

Why does it bother me? First the good news - replacing real sausage with plant based sausage indeed helps the environment. However, this "plant-based" burrito also contains cage-free eggs (listed on the wrapper in the photo) as well as.whole milk and cream (listed in the ingredients shown on the back of the burrito). If one has allergies or simply wants to stick to a #vegan diet, this labeling is trying to fool you and can cause problems. There is no regulation that I know of in the USA for vegan or plant-based products, but this certainly seems like vegan-washing. I know of no plants which can produce eggs, milk, or cream. So, sure, this product helps the environment. But it could help a lot more if it were honest to its label, and it would risk sending someone to the hospital with a food allergy.

But the silver lining is that #veganism is becoming enough of an economic force for marketing to target it!
