  1. I've been taking advantage of the dry, sunny weather the last few days by taking Naomhan off road. Another bonus is the trees on these tracks are good windbreakers. #BikeToot #BikeTooter #titanium #ti #cycling #Gravel #GravelBike #OutsideIsFree #Vegan #VeganCyclist #FromWhereIRide

  2. First proper #gravel ride of 2026, seen here on the path in #ReddishVale. This starts as mud, then gravel, over field run-off drains, then bricks and stones before mud and dirt and then a few cobbles. Great fun. Always great to be back on the #NorthRoadCycles #GraviTi . #cycling #GravelRide #VeganCyclist #OutsideIsFree #BikeTooter #BikeToot #Bicycle

  3. A soggy, solo Sunday ride out. The first 75 minutes was dry with the odd spit of rain. The last 15 minutes was a whole different story...so wet! Still, it's always great to get out, despite the forecast. The route took in Stockport, Cheadle, Woodford, Chadkirk and Grieve. #Cycling #OutsideIsFree #Vegan #VeganCyclist #FromWhereIRideI #OsgarTheOrro #OrroBikes #BikeTooter #BikeToot #SoloSunday #Woodford #bicycle

  4. Last weekend was my cycling club's (Dukinfield CC) 140th anniversary. To celebrate, we'd arranged to ride 70 miles to Lyneal, Shropshire, on Saturday, stay overnight in the activity centre there, then ride the next 70 on the Sunday. What a contrast on both those days. Saturday, wet, miserable (but fun) for the whole ride. Sunday, cold but clear with blue skies, riding home fuelled by beer and food from the pub the night before. The only downside of a stupendous weekend was a double accident to two riders, Phil and Emidio. Phil is the guy second right, with the open black jacket on, in photo #2. Emidio was overtaking Phil on a steep, wet, narrow descent (he was told not to) when a car came up in the opposite direction. Emidio hit the brakes but slid into Phil. Both decked it but Phil has a broken left wrist and shoulder ligament damage. Emidio not so bad. So their ride lasted about 15 miles! Ah well....there's always 2035, lads! #Cycling #OutsideIsFree #Vegan #VeganCyclist #BikeTooter #BikeToot

  5. Yesterday was a jab (for the boy), jobs (for me), then a fun, hilly 90-minute bike ride. On the descent from The Horse and Jockey, I stopped to take a photo of the Saddleworth Hotel, where Mrs. C and I got married in 2002. #Cycling #OutsideIsFree #Vegan #VeganCyclist #FromWhereIRide #OsgarTheOrro #OrroBikes #BikeTooter #BikeToot

  6. 120km done on the Naomhan, the North Road Cycles Grav-i-Ti, over the last three days. A lovely Sunday club run and two WFH "commutes"! This morning's ride included a stop by the "amazing oak tree" (ยฉ๏ธ Google Maps), by the River Tame, and what a tree it is. Quality, all around. #cycling #GravelBike #Gravel #GravelRide #GraviTi #NorthRoadCycles #Naomhรกn #OakTree #nature #ponies #vegan #VeganCyclist

  7. Back on the bike after nearly 5 weeks in Spain (no bikey there, unfortunately). Had to nip to North Road Cycles, in Sale Moor. Blimey, I really did feel being out of the saddle for several weeks during the last 10km home! I took in part of the Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) on the return journey, too. Lovely! #BikeTooter #BikeToot #cycling #Orro #OsgarTheOrro #JacksonsBridge #SaleMoor #NorthRoadCycles #OutsideIsFree #FromWhereIRide #VeganCyclist #PlantPoweredCyclist #Vegan #TPT

  8. A heady couple of hours on Osgar earlier. Lots of climbing but we both enjoy it. Some friends (not food) and #HartsheadPike from the top of Mossley Road, looking down on #Greenfield and #Uppermill from Ladcastle Road, the top of Grains Road and looking down on Town from Top O' Th' Meadows. Lovely stuff. And all this was after I'd been chatting with the #vegan protesters outside Pilgrims in A-U-L. Power to the plant eaters!
