i got my cat (his name is zephyr) some vegan cat food from a brand called "Evolution Diet", it seems pretty legit, got him a 10 pound bag, and its coming in from amazon today! i did all the research and I'm sure it will be fine for him to eat, the food i got him has all the necessary nutrients he needs (taurine, high protein, etc), and i did research on scientific papers and stuff proving that a vegan diet is healthy for cats, I'm reasonably assured at this point that it should be healthy for him so I'm excited to do this with him :) here's to hoping it works out well.

Feeding cats vegan. It is a controversial topic as there are not many longitudinal studies and most studies are surveys. But the evidence that is in, is pretty positive.
It is fine if one does not want to feed cats with specialized vegan food. But I would suggest not to adopt carnivores. There are many herbivores waiting at shelters to be adopted.
