Ich sehe noch nicht einmal so große Hürden. Weder technisch noch regulativ. Noch sehe ich dafür grosse Infrastruktur kosten oder fehlende Standards. Die ersten Autos, die das können, sind auf dem Markt. Und meine internetfähige wallbox zum Beispiel kann auch schon bidirektionales Laden #vdg.
Es bräuchte bei dem technischen setting eigentlich nur noch einen Anbieter, wie z.b. den lokalen Netzbetreiber (Stadtwerk) der hier ein Angebot macht. Also braucht es nur ein Geschäftsmodell.

@sickmatter the #KDE project got lucky. Roughly 10 years ago, the #VDG (Visual Design Group) formed to tackle this and the results weren't only of visual nature, but also addressed many general #UX issues and it clearly shows.

A current #KDEPlasma desktop is a joy to use - lightweight, elegant, powerful when needed!

While the Breeze theme is a major step up from Oxygen, Oxygen had far, far better wallpapers. The Breeze wallpapers are all visually uninteresting, with poor composition and sometimes inconsistent (beyond the dull triangle motif). For example, what was up with that one with the starfield behind it?

Bah. I should somehow find the time to do a design myself for the next competition or at least petition to get Nuno back for a wallpaper...
