Aunque se programaron para Windows, la comunidad de software libre se puso manos a la obra y sacaron unos motores libres que permiten ejecutar la segunda y la tercera parte de la saga.
Ahora que están rebajados en GOG es un buen momento para jugarlos

The style and purpose haven't changed, and it's good that there are way more games now, but it's also harder to find things. Maybe better searching and filtering are needed?
Of these original 7 games, 5 are still going strong (#OpenTTD, #CorsixTH, #fheroes2, #VCMI, #OpenXCOM) which is incredible.

This being an incredibly well known game even until today, you must have recognized it already, haven't you? #HeroesOfMightAndMagic 3 remains the highpoint of the series in popular opinion. As usual, one aspect of this is of course having been there in the right place at the right time, when the computer games market exploded in size.
