We spent the downtime at VCF East trying to get the COMX-35 to completely* fill the screen with randomly-placed asterisks. This was somewhat hampered by us having no COMX BASIC manual. We thought it couldn't be done ...

Thanks to the amazing Emma 02 emulator, it turns out it's possible and we were doing it wrong. We had no manual, though

TBH, there's a bit too much going on here to describe fully. There's an early RCA Studio II video game system in the middle. There are a couple of Retro ELF machines with extreme blinky lights. Left of centre is an RCA VIP with dual sound cards. To the far right is a COMX-35, one of the few RCA1802-based home computers

I am sad that I won't have an exhibit at #VCFEast2025 for the first time in three years. But I was so depressed/stressed by everything that was going on in the world that I couldnt come up with any ideas before registrations filled up.

So that's why this year I will be volunteering for most of the con, helping to give back to the community that has given me so much.
