je cherche un moyen d’enrichir mon carnet de contact avec des infos comme, untel travail pour cette association et pour cette entreprise, et aussi cette personne connaît cette personne.J’aimerai que ce soit structuré.
En fait on peut faire ça avec l’appli contacts qui utilise #carddav et les #vcard , mais ça reste une approche très 'texte' et pas 'base de données'. #bdd

It’s super interesting, though, and I am falling down the rabbit hole of all the links and related information about this. 👀
One of the authors is Mario Loffredo, “First Technologist” of the Informatics and Telematics section of the Italian National Counsel for Research (CNR). 😲
It’s the first time I find an Italian in public sector research authoring a spec!

i think in vcard-rdf you have some level of extensibility because you can just make your hasAddress or hasTelephone point to a node that has properties from some other vocab, like as:startTime and as:endTime for example. but this isn't directly translateable back to an actual #vcard file afaik

who do i talk to in order to propose an extension to #vcard? do they have a mailing list or something?
the extension in question: new parameters X-START-DATE and X-END-DATE (?) that can be used to denote a date range during which a given contact had specified records.
example use case: someone has a phone number from 2011 to 2014. i want my old SMS convos to show their contact info *only* for messages within that date range. new SMS should NOT be linked to the same contact.

Taking another crack at merging contacts.
This time, I realized that the VCF format is MUCH easier to parse than csv.
I've already got a simple bash script to break up each contact into a separate file and identify the name based on the N: or FN: field.
Further work will be needed to intelligently integrate the data.
If I get this working, it's SO gonna be open sourced for all to use. XD

A while back I was going on about RSS feeds. Then a friend added vcards into the mix. So the vcard is my scannable linktree and the RSS feeds are my content.
I added another column for other people's feeds and then thought it might be nice to list new feeds at the top.
If you have a music or gaming RSS feed, youtube channel, anchor podcast, etc. post a link in the comments and I will add you.
This is a Plain Text Program and I am pronouncing it Beta. Please let me know about problems or if anything is unclear.

It would be cool to share my own #fediverse handle via QR code or even better vCard specifially. Is there an #vCard extension for fediverse accounts? I mean there is an extension for Jabber or even Twitter, so maybe a #rfc is already existing? And if not, which property would suit best for this?
