This is Nugget, a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa B Swing in one of the best 1990s colours. I drove this back in one shot from South London, with no satnav, during a storm, against the clock, to Middlesbrough. Amazing little car, really cemented my respect for them. Sadly the insurance was insanely expensive so it didn't stick around.

@frogglin I once had a Miami Blue #Vauxhall #Nova with a #Madonna tape stuck in it. Couldn't eject it. So for a good few years we just listened to one side of it. We sold the car to a friend. And it spontaneously caught fire shortly after. Not sure what that means.

When I think back to Summer 2025 my memories will consist of sitting around #Vauxhall buildings and lots of sweating, because they can’t fix shit.

So #Vauxhall have failed again to replace my dead aircon compressor under warranty. It seems they forgot they needed to connect it to the car so they’ve to order a tube and I’ve to go back to Bristol for a third visit and more sitting around listening to shit music for hours. Do buy electric cars; just don’t buy Vauxhall unless it’s old enough for you not to be reliant on their after sales service. They’re muppets.

#Vauxhall really seem to want to discourage you from darkening their door. They make you wait a month for an appointment, then deny they’ve heard of you, make you wait all day in their “service” office playing urban grime music at you.

That’s the last time I buy a British car. Called into #Vauxhall Bristol for work on their car’s air con. They lost my appointment (they also did this when I first came for a test drive) and then found it, and then said they wouldn’t even look at the car until this afternoon even though I was ten minutes early, so I’m stuck here for hours now. Also, if you want a part, you have to go to a run-down warehouse called Fish Brothers in Swindon. Never doing business with these people again! #CarHorror

My wife was advised to start looking for her next #motability car much earlier than usual - so we've been to visit 4 car dealers in #leicester today.

Three of the four had no disabled parking places available for their customers.
Vauxhall & MG had cones preventing access to the disabled spaces.
Renault had no parking spaces for anyone - the only obvious disabled space had a demonstrator car parked in it.
Hyundai passed the test (and were extremely welcoming & helpful).

I think this shows how they view not only their disabled customers, but all customers.
It's a disgrace.

I've mostly always driven #superminis and am regularly on the road late at night - whilst I've noticed other drivers take more chances if I'm in something like the shed of an #Opel / #Vauxhall #Corsa we use as a fleet car, I rarely get bother in the #VWPolo - but I suspect many they see a brown man who looks younger than he is, think "he's probably got a knife in the door card" and their paranoia is the only thing stopping any conflict..
