Europe needs to establish a Stripe/Paypal alternative that also takes care of VAT-Moss for sellers.
It is so disheartening to see every platform use USD as primary currency and something like Stripe as payment processor.
So much money and power that is being channeled to the US for no reason.
I mean vat moss in itself is a mess and should be replaced. That alone would boost the EU market ...

Today, I am looking into VAT MOSS for our free/open small web hosting platform (Basil; WIP: https://github.com/small-tech/basil) and slowly losing the will to live.
I guess you don’t have to be a sadist to write tax policy but I can only imagine it makes it more fun if you are.
