Hello my art world friends! While conducting research for my current book, I came across this Michelangelo fresco of the Conversion of Saul. Would one of you knowledgeable folks help me understand why the fellow on the bottom near the right corner is carrying on owl with him on the road to Damascus? Okay, I know it’s not really on owl…but now I need to know what it is! It looks like an owl on the back of a blue hat. Help! #michelangelo #WritingCommunity #VaticanArt
