Fixed them myself in the end. Couldn't be bothered going back into town, and figured I couldn't make them worse, so got out the tiny screwdrivers and sorted it. Now they're just perfect... All I need to do now is get used to #varifocals. #GettingOld

Picked up my new #varifocals just now. They're a bit odd when I'm just walking around, but I can see really well otherwise! I'm impressed.

Now, to make #soup from scratch because someone mentioned making soup the other day and I've wanted homemade soup since then. Carrot, sweet potato, and parsnip soup with cumin and coriander.

Be honest, how much of a pain in the ass are they to get used to?

I’ve been sent some instructions for using my new glasses, fortunately I’ve been wearing varifocals long enough for most of this to be automatic but there’s still a bit adjustment in my CNS before I can feel comfortable. #varifocals #glasses

Top tip if your varifocals seem wrong: ask the optician to check your frames. There's some arm bendy wizardry they do, I don't understand it, but I'm pleased it works! #Varifocals #ICanSeeClearlyNow #OldEyes

So I've just gotten my first pair of Varifocals (aka Progressive Lenses). Yes, I am that age now... anyway, I'm struggling to adapt to wearing #varifocals for computer work, because of the fuzziness around the edges. Curious if anyone else wears these type of #glasses, and if so what are your thoughts on them? I will probably end up getting a normal pair for work. I replaced my #varifocals by standard distance lenses - but in a 'trick' frame; it can swivel up a bit giving more of a gap at the bottom that you can look under The frame is called 'snooker' for players looking along the cue I guess.

I took my #varifocals back yesterday; I got used to wearing them out and about, even if the swimming on them was annoying; and I could read my mobile with them, but I found they were pretty much impossible to use for computer use at home - especially with a nice big display.
