The main issue with just using velcro straps is going to be vibration prevention. I really don’t want this to vibrate against the center console panel. #VansAircraft #Aviation #avgeek #ExperimentalAviation #AirplaneOwnership

This shouldn’t be hard to comply with - Vans sells these for $25 each, and assuming they actually ship relatively quickly (big if, for real. I see these are already on backorder), the annoying part is just figuring out where and how to mount it. Might be able to rivet some velcro straps to the center console and have that be the install method?

If other Vans Aircraft builders are interested in Andair Fuel boost pumps, Vans should have some in stock soon, and at a better price than Spruce or Andair direct. Andair is second best on price, but there's a year wait for them. Spruce is middle on price but backordered and has not gotten stock since June 2024.. #vansaircraft

When building the RV-10, I loved the look of the Aveo ZipTips with their little winglets. I'm not so sure they fit the style of an RV-8, though; they're more elegant than sporty. What do you think? Winglets or na? #rv8 #vansaircraft

Starting to think about colors for the inside of the RV-8. The outside is dark green, so considering one of these for the inside, with brown seats. I like that the Sherwin Williams paints are water based. #vansaircraft #rv8

Today I learned that I made it soooo much harder on myself buying a small blade. The half inch blade is soooo much easier to cut a straight line with. #vansaircraft #tools #todayilearned

Once I prime and do a few nut plates, and finish a bracket that needs a sharp new bandsaw blade, it's time to put the horizontal stabilizer on for the first time for some work. I'm really not sure it will fit in my garage. It's gonna be close. I'm glad I didn't build the RV-10 I was starting out on!! #vansaircraft #rv8
